Thinking of taking the orange pill? I guess I just f**ing snort it. Apple Steve co-founder Wozniak referred to Bitcoin as ”pure-gold mathematics” in a recent interview.
Wozniak complimented Bitcoin’s underlying technology and its power of computation. Wozniak did not share the same enthusiasm for shitcoins or NFT’s leading one to wonder, did he change his mind?
“There’s so many cryptocurrencies that come out now; everybody has a way to create a new one, and you have a celebrity star with it,” Wozniak said. “It seems like they’re just collecting a bunch of money from people who want to invest at the very earliest stage, when it’s worth pennies.”
Wozniak has always been a proponent of cutting-edge technology, having helped usher the era of personal computing alongside the late Steve Jobs. Indeed, last summer, Wozniak praised the technical merits of Bitcoin during a tech conference, describing it as “the most amazing mathematical miracle.”
Wozniak an Orange-Pilled Maxi?
Wozniak has been involved in the space for a long time and with his background in computers, computer science, and changing the world with Apple, maybe it’s not so surprising that he gets Bitcoin.
What stands out with Wozniak is his understanding of Bitcoin and its decentralization in his endorsement. The ”Woz” helped change the world once before and he recognizes disruptive-honest technology when he sees it.
“Bitcoin isn’t run by some company,” Wozniak told Yahoo News. “It’s just mathematically pure. And I believe nature over humans always.”
