Web3 gaming platform Portal has signed with the top Hollywood-based talent agency WME to enhance distribution in the gaming sector.

Portal will be represented by WME across various entertainment sectors, the firm revealed exclusively to CryptoNews.

WME manages a roster of Hollywood celebrities, including Ben Affleck, Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Jennifer Garner, and several others.

Portal works on connecting gamers, streamers, and artists with teams working on the next generation of gaming experiences.

Portal aims to build the future gaming platform by bringing different games that are across chains under one unified token and ultimately become a permissionless distribution platform.

Portal Aims to Utilize WME Partnership to Enhance Distribution

WME, recognized as the world’s largest talent agency with a legacy spanning over a century, has a history of shaping popular culture by connecting innovative projects with top-tier talent across different industries.

The collaboration with Portal aims to integrate new forms of storytelling, particularly gaming, with emerging technologies like blockchain.

The partnership is expected to bring innovative products to creators within the gaming industry. Portal’s ecosystem, comprising over 200 games, studios, and media outlets, includes a diverse range of projects, from AI-powered creator platforms to titles transforming in-game characters into digital collectibles.

Portal Foundation’s Chief Business officer Dan Keene believes WME’s representation of the Portal Ecosystem will open up opportunities for enhanced distribution of Portal games to gamers through streamers and content creators.

Dan told CryptoNews:

“The reason why WME partnership is really important in our roadmap is distribution. It’s such a core part of acquiring users. And really, in order to be able to kind of do distribution at scale, you need to have access to and then work with the kind of most organic content creating streamers out there.”

He further revealed that they are working with WME around the gaming roster.

Additionally, the collaboration provides avenues for artist collaborations, toy ranges, and media deals, creating a connection between traditional media and the growing universe of community-owned intellectual property.

The Portal ecosystem previously entered interoperability partnerships with LayerZero and integrations with Solana blockchain. Additionally, Portal has entered into an Esports partnership with M80 and established a distribution partnership with Magic Eden.
