$5 Million in Bitcoin Donated to Ukrainian Military

More than 130 BTC have been donated in support of the Ukrainian defense as the $3.000.000 Million in Bitcoin.

” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>bitcoin blockchain reveals. Within 12 hours the address received $400.000 worth of donations on Thursday. Since August, the wallet belonging to the charitable foundation ‘Come Back Alive’ received 19 Bitcoin and finally a record single donnor added $3.000.000 Million in Bitcoin on Friday.

Bitcoin analytics firm, Elliptic reported that 600 transactions took place in February alone with most occuring in the past 48 hours.

The signal is spreading.

Bitcoin has provided hope in El Salvador, unity and opposition in the face of tyranny in Canada, and now assistance to Ukraine as an all out assault by Russian forces ravages their country.

Can Russia use Bitcoin to evade sanctions

The invasion came after Biden and Nato implemented sanctions on Russia that limited Russia’s ability to use dollars, euros, pounds, or yen. As displayed by Iran in May, Bitcoin can be used to evade sanctions as their is no third party involved that can censor Bitcoin peer-to-peer transactions.

“If the Russians decide — and they’re already doing this, I’m sure — to avoid using any currency other than cryptocurrency, they can effectively avoid virtually all of the sanctions,” said Ross S. Delston, an expert on anti-money laundering compliance.

It appears that this was part of Putin’s forethought before making the move into Ukraine. This invasion was calculated on many fronts, but especially economically. While Russia’s markets collapsed as far as 48%; oil, fertilizer, wheat, gold, and now Bitcoin have all pumped since the Russian invasion, all major benefits for Russia as main exports. Russia could send geo-political game theory into hyperdrive if they priced their exports in Bitcoin. Of the global Bitcoin market cap, 12% resides in Russia.

How will Bitcoin be used in Ukraine

Bitcoin will be used in Ukraine to provide military equipment, drones, and medical supplies. As seen in the @HonkHonkHodl trucker campaign in Canada, Bitcoin is censorship resistant and allows donors the ability to bypass institutions that can censor, block, or seize funds.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz promotes Bitcoin as protection from tyranny

Orange-Pilled Texas Senator, Ted Cruz, delivered a passionate speech at CPAC 2022 and spoke on the importance and utility of Bitcoin.

“So Justin Trudeau said, ’I don’t like me some truckers so we’re going to seize your assets.’ So then the court went to try to seize the Bitcoin that was given to the truckers,” Cruz then read aloud the nunchuk.io letter to the crowd at CPAC and received applause. Cruz followed, ”Contrast that to the craven-sniveling response of corporate America…God Bless you saying to the government, go jump in a lake. That’s how our country was founded, that is powerful.”

The signal is spreading.

This is the great distinction between Bitcoin, and everything else. The ability and propensity of cantillonaire rulers to plunder their own citizens has been in full force globally since March of 2020 as the native habitat of plunder lies in the fiat system, Bitcoin fixes this.

The need for Bitcoin has never been greater

It is time to separate the money from the state, and take the head off the snake. The absolute need for Bitcoin and its utility has never been greater.

In September the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, vetoed a bill on Bitcoin and sent back to parliament. On Feb. 17, a bill was passed and approved by deputies formally legalizing and regulating Bitcoin in Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, tweeted a statement regarding the passage.

“Ukraine is already in top-5 countries on Bitcoin usage. Today we made one more step forward: Parliament adopted law on virtual assets! This will legalize Bitcoin, exchangers, and cryptocurrencies, and Ukrainians could protect their assets from possible abuse or fraud.”

Though some believe the Russian invasion may render Ukraine’s plans for innovation moot, it may drive them headlong into a circular Bitcoin economy, by necessity.

From Memestocks to Memewars – the ethical implications of military crowdfunding

Technology has empowered the crowd. Reddit communities can save public companies and ruin hedge funds as the GameStop stock saga has proven. But military crowdfunding is a completely new dimension to the power of the crowd. Will we have to get used to it? If governments don’t succeed to ban bitcoin soon, we might, yes.

Not everyone is ready to deal with this reality, anticipated by cryptoanarchists for many decades.

But how can military crowdfunding lead to a more peaceful world, isn’t it fuel in the fire? Wasn’t bitcoin meant to fix everything and make war ‘unaffordable’? To understand this, let’s take a look at security and defense in general. When a military defense technology is available exclusively, it provides an advantage to the owner and a disadvantage to the one who lacks it. States with open carry are less attractive to criminals and murderers compared to gun free zones. Someone with a gun can defend himself much better than someone without.

When each country in the world has nuclear defense missiles, it creates a level of balance and stability. Is there an alternative? Can’t the nations of the world find consensus to ban nuclear weapons? This ideal is unrealistic as there will always be one rogue state that will render such ambitions obsolete. We cannot ban technology, it just doesn’t work. And even the most nasty and destructive military tech such as microwave weapons, bio weapons etc will never go away once they’re invented.

The question is always about how to use that technology for defense. The post-hyperbitcoinization answer is: private production of defense.

War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

Major General Smedley Butler

It is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with the century of central banking.

Ron Paul

Would the Meme-leaders of the world such as Roaring Kitty, Pewdiepie, Mr Beast and Paul Logan ever have a violent conflict? Their battle is all about digital territory and subscribers, not land and commodities. Ironically, the 6th largest YouTube channel on the planet is a kids-show from Ukraine. And the 10th largest a kids-show from Russia.

War is a horrible idea. Let’s hope it’s one of the last war conflicts before Bitcoin fixes everything. The donating will continue until Peace improves.
